Proclamation from Township of Bridgewater at New Jersey

On July 26, 2006, Patricia Flannery, Mayor of the Township of Bridgewater, New Jersey, issued a proclamation to Ming Hui School of Bridgewater. The proclamation praised and encouraged Ming Hui School for bringing the Chinese culture to students in Bridgewater and its neighboring townships. At her office, Mayor Flannery welcomed the teachers of Ming Hui School and took pictures with them.

The proclamation states:

        WHEREAS, Ming Hui School Bridgewater Branch is a weekend Chinese/English bilingual school which welcomes all students with various cultural backgrounds;

        WHEREAS, Ming Hui School, which is chartered based on the principle of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance”, provides students with a loving and fun learning environment to learn the Chinese language, the profound Chinese culture and the traditional Chinese moral values;

        WHEREAS, the staff and teachers of Ming Hui School cherish the traditional Chinese culture and enthusiastically devote their time to the students;

        WHEREAS, the school has been renting classrooms at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School on Saturday afternoons, has been successfully operating since September of 2005 and has been teaching children from Bridgewater and nearby townships;

        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Patricia Flannery, Mayor of the Township of Bridgewater, New Jersey do hereby proclaim that the Township welcomes and encourages the cultural diversity brought to us by Ming Hui School.
